I'm Zach Hays, the founder and sole maker of Moondance Hoops. Based in beautiful Bellevue, Washington, I’ve been handcrafting LED dance hoops and flow arts props since 2015.

My journey began with a love for flow arts—hooping, spinning, and creating movement under the stars. I wanted props that looked as magical as they felt, so I started building my own illuminated hoops with vibrant, programmable LEDs that could keep up with real performers. What began as a personal project quickly turned into something I could share with the community.

Today, every Moondance Hoop is carefully designed and assembled by hand in my workshop. I focus on quality materials, thoughtful features (like removable rechargeable batteries, gapless tubing options, and simple controls), and making glowing props that are both affordable and performance-ready. Whether you're just starting your flow journey or lighting up stages and festivals, I want your hoop to feel like an extension of your creativity.
